The Changan company may launch a new sub-brand Deepal in the car market.

The Deepal brand, as a subsidiary brand of the Chinese automaker Changan, may appear on the market.

Russian car enthusiasts will soon be able to purchase new models with Deepal brand logos.

This company will produce electric models, strengthening the position of the parent concern in the global car market.

Next year, sales plans indicate 450 thousand such vehicles. This follows from Changan’s plans, which were announced during the motor show in Thailand.

The editors of “Chinese Cars” write about the possibility of Deepal models appearing in car dealerships in our country.

According to insider data, the line of models of the sub-brand, formed last year, includes only two cars — the SL03 liftback and the S7 SUV. In world car markets they received different names.

After China, these models will be sold in car dealerships in Thailand. Sales there are expected to begin in the last month of this year. There are modifications with right-hand drive.

In the global market, Deepal SL03 is called L07, and the foreign car S7 is called S07. Next year, these cars are scheduled to appear on the car markets of the European Union and developing ASEAN countries.

The production of models for these countries is organized in Thailand, where a production site for the assembly of 100 thousand cars per year is already being built. The opening of this car plant is planned for the first quarter of 2025.

Deepal L07 (SL03) in a liftback body has a length of 4,820 mm. The width is 1,890 mm and the height is 1,480 mm with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.

The new product is driven by an electric unit with an output of 258 “horses” and a battery of 66.8 kWh. On one charge the liftback travels 540 km.

The Deepal S07 SUV received the following dimensions: 4,750 x 1,930 x 1,625 mm with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.

The power plant repeats the equipment of the liftback. Without recharging, the model can travel 485 km.

In China, deliveries of Changan Deepal set a record with 100,000 cars.

By the end of 2025, Deepal wants to sell 1.5 million electric cars, taking a leading position in the market.
