Chery Jetour X90 Plus 2023. Another Chinese automaker officially announced its entry into the Russian market.

Jetour is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chery, founded in 2018.

From Chinese, this name is translated as «victory path.»

Initially, Jetour cars were aimed at young people and were positioned as more affordable analogues of Chery models, but a year and a half ago the strategy changed, and now the company is promoting a culture of auto travel.

Jetour is actively developing exports: these machines are already being delivered to the countries of the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to the CIS (for example, to Kazakhstan).

A distributor, Jetour Motor Rus, has been created in Russia, and it has nothing to do with the local office of Chery: Jetour will work separately from the parent company for us.

Recently, a dealer conference was held in Moscow, where the first dealers were announced, but the collection of applications is still ongoing, and the start of sales is scheduled for the end of May.

Jetour cars will be delivered to us directly from China. Initially, the range will consist of two models.

The first is the mid-size crossover Jetour Dashing (aka Dasheng in China) of the 2022 model.

A five-seater car with a length of 4590 mm is technically unified with the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro parker.

The Dashing is front-wheel drive only and has a 160mm ground clearance.

Turbo engines 1.5 (156 hp) and 1.6 (197 hp) will be offered to choose from, the first one with “mechanics” or preselective “robot”, the second one with only “robot”.

The second model is the large crossover Jetour X90 Plus, that is, an updated version of the X90 model of 2019.

The car with a length of 4858 mm has three rows of seats and Chery Tiggo 8 technology.

The drive is also only front, but the ground clearance is already 210 mm.

The «nineties» will be offered with turbo engines 1.6 (197 hp) and 2.0 (254 hp), the only gearbox is a seven-speed «robot» with two clutches.

By the end of the year, the Jetour X70 crossovers and the brutal Jetour Traveler should also appear in Russia.

Actually, today it is the entire model range of the company. Unless in China, all these crossovers have a ton of varieties and modifications.

In 2023, Jetour expects to sell 15,000 vehicles on the Russian market.

And at the beginning of 2024, a certain compact crossover Jetour DX5 was announced, which has not yet been presented even in China.
