The newest Dongfeng DF6 2023 has already arrived. He received not only new characteristics.

More recently, Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng has started selling its DF6 all-terrain pickup truck.

However, this model cannot be called an absolute novelty. Dong Feng DF6 2023 was previously known to customers as Rich 6 and has been in production since 2017.

Today, the car is available in three versions, estimated at 2.89-3.19 million rubles.

At the moment, a variability of power characteristics is offered for a pickup truck — it is equipped with a 2.3 or 2.5 liter diesel unit, as well as a manual transmission or automatic transmission.

The car is delivered to our country directly from the territory of China, and its main rival is the Nissan Navara, on the basis of which it is built.

Options and prices

Despite the fact that Dong Feng DF6 2023 is not a fundamentally new model and has been known in the home market for more than five years, it does not imply excessive diversity in technical specifications.

The same applies to kits. It also cannot be said that the pickup truck is offered in a new body, since in its appearance, shown in the photo, you can recognize another, fairly well-known all-terrain vehicle from Japan.

As for car prices, they are at a relatively low level.

Comfort
The starting modification of the Chinese SUV received a price tag of 2.89 million rubles.

Premium
The second version of the pickup, worth 2.99 million rubles.

Luxury
The most expensive version of the «Chinese», the cost of which is 3.19 million rubles. The main difference between this version and the previous ones is the presence of a system for a complete overview of the situation around the body.

Body and interior

In general, the car did not receive any unexpected decisions either in terms of its exterior or in the interior.

For the pickup, a classic version is offered, most of which duplicates the characteristics of the Japanese Nissan Navara.

The appearance of the 2023 Dongfeng DF6 is distinguished by rather large body elements.

At the front of the pickup stand out a massive hood cover, as well as a hexagonal grille trimmed with chrome.

The stern of the car has a classic, as for models from this segment, performance.

There is a cargo platform with a folding tailgate, vertical lights, as well as an additional metal frame that adds rigidity.

Inside, the pickup did not receive any modern solutions, and its entire interior is quite ascetic and simple.

Instead of the digital “tidy” and multimedia systems familiar to most cars, Dongfeng DF6 was equipped with analog panel scales, as well as an ordinary monochrome display for displaying any data.

Quite hard plastic is involved in the cabin, a classic gearbox selector and a rather large steering wheel are installed.

Specifications

As already noted, the Dongfeng DF6 is based on the 2014 Japanese Nissan Navara all-terrain vehicle, and therefore the Chinese model does not shine with a mass of all kinds of characteristics, thanks to which it can stand out from other rivals.

The pickup truck received an independent front suspension and a dependent rear suspension based on a continuous axle, as well as leaf springs, which are designed to increase the vehicle’s carrying capacity.

On the territory of Russia, a pickup truck is offered with two options for power units.

In the basic version, we are talking about a turbodiesel engine, the volume of which is 2.5 liters.

This engine produces 136 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque.

In tandem with him, the Chinese developer installed a 5-speed manual transmission, as well as a plug-in all-wheel drive and a lowering row.

For the two more expensive pickup variations, a 2.3-liter turbodiesel is offered, whose performance is 163 hp.

It is able to work both in tandem with a manual gearbox, and with automatic transmission.

On the indicators of average fuel consumption, as well as the acceleration time to the first «hundred» of the car, its manufacturer does not report anything.

As befits a full-fledged pickup truck, the 2023 Dongfeng DF6 turned out to be quite large, with a good payload.

So, the dimensions of the car are 5310x1850x1810 mm, and the cargo platform has dimensions — 1520x1520x475 mm.

The wheelbase of the pickup truck is 3150 mm, and the ground clearance is 220 mm. As for the ability of the machine to carry goods, it can be loaded with up to 500 kg of luggage.

Thanks to a fuel tank that can hold up to 73 liters of diesel fuel, the Chinese SUV has a decent power reserve.

As for the main competitors of Dong Feng DF6 2023, these include several popular models that are well known to Russian motorists.

In addition to the already mentioned Nissan Navara, this car can become an alternative to Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200.
