The new generation of Hyundai Verna (Solaris) will be on the conveyor in March: everything that is known about the model.
According to Indian media, the next generation of the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan, which is a fellow Solaris, will make its world debut in the coming months.
The car has already been spotted several times by spy photographers during test runs.
Serial production of the Korean model will start in March this year. However, most of the produced cars, which will be assembled in India, will be exported.
The current version of Verna is produced in India in the amount of 40,000 units per year, while the monthly sales of this model in this country are about 1600 units.
Sources say that the production of the next generation sedan will be increased to 70,000 units. And most of them will be exported.
This is due to the fact that in March 2022, Hyundai stopped the work of its plant in St. Petersburg.
Verna was also produced here, which is sold in our country under the name Solaris. Thus, the assembly of the new generation of the sedan will be localized in India.
From here the cars will be sent to the Middle East and Latin America.
Previous spy shots of the facelifted Verna have shown that the car will be inspired by the latest Elantra.
This design is called «Sensual Sportiness» in the company. The sedan will be made in the style of a fastback with a conical roof.
He will also get a wide grille, which is combined with head optics.
In addition, the Korean model will receive Tucson-like chrome trim on the C-pillar and two-tone alloy wheels.
The Verna interior will feature a fully digital instrument panel and multimedia touchpad, united under one glass, like the Ioniq 5. The model will also get the ADAS complex.
It is expected that the old 1.5-liter 115-horsepower naturally aspirated engine will remain under the hood of the car.
Verna should also get a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol unit.
It is an upgraded version of the 140-horsepower 1.4-liter engine currently used in the Creta.
