Smart #3 2024.

All-new Smart #3 2024: the exact date of the debut of the cross-coupe has been announced.

Smart, an all-electric vehicle company, intends to expand its range by introducing the new Smart #3 at the Shanghai Auto Show next month.

According to leaked images from China’s Ministry of Information Technology, the Smart #3 will be larger than its predecessor, slightly shorter than the Volkswagen ID.5.

The new electric car will feature a sleek, coupe-like design with a steeply sloping windshield and a sloping roofline.

The new model is 170mm longer than the Smart #1 for a sportier and more aerodynamic look.

A leak from last year suggests that the #3 will come with at least two powertrain options, which likely means one and two engines.

The Smart #3 is a coupe version of the #1 crossover and the second production model in the automaker’s new era.

As pictures from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show, official shots of a lightly disguised prototype and revealing profile teaser, the styling echoes No. 1 — especially in the front of the frame, the greenhouse, the roofline and the tail is unique to #3, giving it a more sporty look.

Other differences include a more aerodynamic windshield, thinner bumper air intakes, and the Smart logo moved to the front fenders.

The two power options will provide either 152 hp or 268 hp like the Smart #1.

While range and battery size details are yet to be revealed, Model #3 will be built on the same Geely “Sustainable Experience Architecture” (SEA) platform that also underpins Smart #1.

This platform is used by Volvo and Lynk & Co. and is expected to deliver the same level of performance and efficiency as the previous model.

Smart will unveil the #3 model on April 17, and it will go on sale in China by the end of the year.

But the rest of the buyers, including Europe, will have to wait until 2024 to get this interesting electric car.

In general, Smart representatives have already said that the revived product line of the company provides for an increase in the number of cars to six or seven by 2027.

With a focus on affordability, style and sustainability, Smart intends to continue to make an impact in the world of electric vehicles.
