BAIC X55 2023.

Mass production of the BAIC X55 crossover has started at Avtotor.

On August 23, the assembly of the Chinese crossover 2023 BAIC X55 began at Avtotor Kaliningrad.

At the moment, the first batch of cars has left the assembly line of the enterprise.

The press service of the plant reported that preparations for mass production of the model began in June.

Since then, the plant has made special equipment and installed additional equipment for setting up on-board electronics, plus staff training has been carried out.

As for the BAIK X55 car itself, it is a classmate of the Toyota RAV4 model.

The SUV has a modern exterior design with a wide frameless radiator grille and two-story head optics.

By car, blackened rear pillars, due to which the effect of a “floating” roof is achieved.

He also put «recessed» door handles, which automatically extend when the owner approaches with a key.

By the way, the developers even provided protection against ice for the car — in the winter season, the electric drive of the handles produces three shocks, thereby freeing itself from the shackles of ice.

As for the stern of the new BAIC X55 2023, the narrow taillights are connected to each other by a bridge with «BEIJING» lettering.

A weighty spoiler visor hangs over the fifth door, and there is a textured lining on the bottom of the bumper.

The interior design of the Chinese crossover is quite restrained.

The minimalist front panel has two separate displays — for virtual tidy and multimedia system.

The new Baik X 55 has a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, the overall length of the car reaches 4,620 mm, and its width and height are 1,886 and 1,680 mm, respectively.

According to the data sheet, the volume of the trunk behind the rear seats is 350 liters.

The front-wheel drive SUV is driven by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 188 hp, working in conjunction with a seven-band robot. Acceleration from standstill to hundreds is possible in 7.8 seconds.

Options for the BAIC X55 have not yet been announced, but the list of basic equipment is known: the crossover is equipped with ABS, ESP, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, an engine start button, a cooled box in the center armrest and six airbags.

In turn, the top versions will boast adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, all-round cameras, a panoramic roof with roof rails, and a lane keeping system.

The ruble price list and the exact list of configurations will become known in the coming weeks.

For information, the price of BAIC X55 in China starts at 94,900 yuan (1.33 million rubles at the current exchange rate), but in Russia it will probably be about twice as expensive.
