The Evolute i-Jet electric crossover is ready to debut.

The Motorinvest company announced the imminent start of sales of the Evolute i-Jet crossover, which was first announced back in two thousand and twenty-two.

Like other cars of the Russian brand, the upcoming new product is a copy of the Dongfeng concern’s model — DFSK Seres 5, which is also known as “Seres SF5”.

The latter was developed with the direct participation of Huawei specialists and has been produced in Chongqing, China since two thousand and nineteen.

On the Chinese market, the crossover is offered as a sequential hybrid equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. But its electric version is intended exclusively for export markets.

The “Russian” Evolute i-Jet 2024 is precisely an electric car, although photographs of a pre-production copy of the model were previously published online, and it was a hybrid (it had a radiator grille, which is not included in the EV version).

In terms of its body proportions, the model is somewhat reminiscent of a Porsche Macan.

The car has a streamlined shape, but the aerodynamic drag indicator Cd is not the most outstanding — 0.278.

Inside the car, attention is immediately drawn to the 15.6-inch tablet multimedia system.

It controls both climate control and most other functions.

As for the physical buttons, there are few of them in the cockpit: they are only on the steering wheel.

The car’s instrumentation is virtual — a 12.3-inch screen located under a massive visor is used to display readings.

The crossover reaches 4,710, 1,930 and 1,620 mm in length, width and height, respectively. Its wheelbase is 2,675 mm. Trunk volume is a modest 367 liters.

The chassis design of the model is curious: the front uses not the usual McPherson struts, but double wishbones, while the rear uses a multi-link.

An electric motor is installed on each axle of the Evolute i-Jet, that is, the model is all-wheel drive. In total, these units produce 646 hp. (940 Nm).

By default, the SUV is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 80 kWh.

From zero to hundreds, such a car accelerates in 4.0 seconds and is capable of traveling up to 430 km (according to the WLTP cycle).

The more expensive version is equipped with a kind of “semi-solid” battery with a capacity of 90 kWh. It “shoots” from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and can travel up to 530 km.

Pre-orders for the i-Jet are already open, but exactly when it will go on sale and how much it will cost is not specified.

Most likely, its price tag will be comparable to the cost of Voyah Free EV, for which Motorinvest is asking 9.4 million rubles.
