Geely Emgrand S 2022.

Sales of the new Geely Emgrand S crossover for 1.17 million rubles have started.

Until recently, a Geely GS crossover hatchback was on sale in the Russian market. This model is not available today either here or in China.

But the manufacturer has found something to replace the compact car.

Sales of the new 2022 Geely Emgrand S crossover have started in the Chinese market today, which is priced at a minimum of 89,900 yuan (about 1.17 million rubles at current exchange rates).

The presented model is at least externally similar to its predecessor.

It also has a sporty appearance, which is emphasized by a front bumper with large air intakes, grille, sloping roof shape and developed spoiler at the rear.

Complementing this effect are contrasting inserts that adorn different parts of the body. In addition, the new crossover, like its predecessor, has relatively low ground clearance.

The interior of the Emgrand S stands out with its technological and premium execution.

The crossover got a wide touchscreen, hovering over the center console, and an analog instrument cluster with a compact screen.

Also the Chinese novelty received cruise control, climate control and other equipment.

The seats are trimmed with three-color faux leather. And its shades also emphasize the sporty style of the car.

The claimed wheelbase of the 4,430-millimeter crossover is 2,700 mm.

The width is 1833 mm, height — 1573 mm. Under the hood of the Emgrand S is installed standard 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, which Geely uses on the majority of budget models.

Its maximum output still reaches 141 hp, torque — 235 N*m.

Together with it, the crossover is equipped with a 6-speed «mechanics» or 8-band «automat».

The model has received an updated exterior, which made the design more stylish and modern. Also in the list of equipment appeared additional options.

The model received small adjustments in the design of the exterior. First of all, it is worth noting that the car is painted in gray, which previously was not in the Geely Emgrand palette.

Also from the notable features — orange overlays, which go along the bottom of the body and are integrated into the air intake cutouts.

The manufacturer did not forget to put and new rims, which are made in a sporty manner.

The body panels are in the same style as the Geely 4.0. In front, a shield-shaped grille filled in the form of vertical slats.

On the edges — headlights with small «sharpening» on the edges of the bodies. The air intakes are located below the optics.

The profile is highlighted by a chamfer running straight from the front fender and down near the rear door handle.

The stern has a through light with the brand name in the center.

Also eye-catching are the large two-part spoiler and the rectangular chrome exhaust pipes.

No less interesting looks the interior of the car, where the manufacturer has added a light blue trim, which combines with the old unpainted plastic and inserts «under the metal».

The driver’s seat is as ergonomic as possible — everything is literally at your fingertips.

In the center of the front console there is a big horizontally stretched monitor, under which the keys for the climate control settings.

Further on there is a «tunnel» with a gearbox lever and cup holders. The steering wheel is modern — with buttons.

But the dashboard of the cross-country can be only analog.

The car is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged power unit with a maximum output of 141 horsepower (235 N*m of torque).

The transmission can be a variator simulating eight speeds or a six-speed manual gearbox.
