KIA Sorento 2024.

The Koreans have declassified the appearance and interior of the updated KIA Sorento 2024.

The Koreans from KIA have published the first official images of the updated mid-size crossover Sorento.

They show that as part of the planned restyling, the current (fourth) generation model has undergone major changes.

The off-road vehicle in the photo is characterized by the presence of a redesigned front end.

Its “muzzle” draws attention to itself with T-shaped DRLs, the upper (horizontal) sections of which now go onto a modified radiator grille.

Plus, the designers have revised the shape of the central lower air intake, which still houses the foglights.

A different silver lining appeared along the bottom of the bumper.

It should also be noted that the KIA brand logo is no longer located on the radiator grill, but on the hood.

As for the profile of the model, it has not undergone any changes, although the Koreans have updated the design of alloy wheels.

At the stern of the KIA Sorento 2024, the designers have slightly revised the graphics of the lights.

They now resemble the letter «P». In turn, the reversing lights were placed even lower than before — under the silver trim on the bumper.

In the published photos, the interior looks «old», although there are changes here as well.

The Koreans slightly adjusted the design of the front panel, abandoning the overly catchy vertical deflectors in the center.

Instead, they now have a narrow horizontal slot. This allowed the developers to increase the diagonal of the display of the entertainment system.

The company also upgraded the climate control unit, getting rid of the outdated display.

The latter has been replaced with touch buttons (like the EV6 and Sportage models).

The crossover also received a fingerprint recognition function and several new interior colors.

There is no information about the technology of the updated model yet — it will be revealed only in mid-August 2024.

Kia has updated the once popular Sorento crossover in Russia.

The Sorento model of the current, fourth generation has been on the market since 2020 and until recently it was officially sold on the Russian market.

Now a restyled crossover is presented, which in our country is not worth waiting for — unless I bring a novelty through parallel imports.

Sorento has changed inside and out, but Kia is still silent about the technology.

The design of the updated Kia Sorento is made with an eye on the “older” Telluride: the radiator grille has become larger, the front bumper looks different, and the hood is longer.

The most noticeable change at the stern is the appearance of jumpers in the taillight sections.

The crossover adopted the brand’s signature style called Opposites United, which translates as «unity of opposites», which Kia first used for the electric EV6.

In the cabin, instead of two separate screens, a single cluster of a 12.3-inch digital “tidy” and a multimedia system display of the same size appeared.

Because of this, the location of the ventilation deflectors was revised.

A climate control unit with touch buttons also appeared, and a fingerprint scan was added from the new functions.

Information about the motors in Kia, apparently, decided to hold back until the official premiere, scheduled for mid-August.

However, fundamental changes are not expected: the line will still have petrol, diesel and hybrid versions, and the engines will differ depending on the market.

The first market for the updated Sorento will be native South Korea, and export deliveries will begin later.
