Toyota presented the new Toyota Yaris Cross crossover with an improved hybrid system.

The 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross will get a more powerful hybrid variant and larger screens.

The hybrid compact crossover also features a quieter ride thanks to improved insulation.

Toyota has announced a series of updates for the Yaris Cross in Europe following the facelift of the Yaris manual supermini.

The subcompact crossover is now available with a more powerful hybrid powertrain, as well as more cabin technology, better insulation and improved safety equipment.

The hybrid version of the Hybrid 130 combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a more powerful electric motor for a total output of 130 hp. and 185 Nm.

The increase in power improves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, which is now achieved in 10.7 seconds. The improvement was 0.4 seconds.

The less powerful Hybrid 115 variant is still available with 114 hp. and 141 Nm.

Toyota says plug-in hybrid technology is the «number one deciding factor» for Yaris Cross buyers, which is why it doesn’t offer an ICE-only version of the B-SUV in Europe.

The top-of-the-line Premiere Edition features exclusive Urban Khaki paint, complemented by matching interior accents and a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Premiere Edition and GR Sport trims use an improved hybrid powertrain, with the latter featuring sportier chassis tuning courtesy of Gazoo Racing.

The interior’s standout feature is the upgraded technology that puts it on par with its competitors.

Depending on the configuration, you can choose between a 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, complemented by a 9-inch or 10.4-inch multimedia touchscreen.

The Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system has received improvements: it now supports over-the-air updates and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Online bookings for the facelifted Toyota Yaris Cross are due to begin later this month in select European markets. Pricing details will be revealed as we get closer to market launch.
